A local police report available to the media reported that Dupree approached his girlfriend from behind at the bowling alley, and “started to position his arms behind her and choke her,” as the witness told the police. It had already started to get heated, which caused Dupree to tackle his girlfriend from behind and cause her head to be held up while she was in a choke position. Police report reveals that a chunk of the victim’s hair was ripped off in Dupree’s hands as he was falling after getting punched. The report also states that the anonymous woman rushed towards the assaulting lawyer, punched him hard in the face which knocked him out. Witnesses said that Dupree was already knocked out and was lying face-first on the floor when the Police arrived.
Dupree was immediately taken to the hospital and stayed there until he could gain full consciousness. He was later arrested with charges of Third-degree assault and Battery.

The unnamed woman who heroically stood in defense of the victim is said to be facing no charges what so ever.
