In a recent report by the U.S Center for Disease Control, It is stated that despite being vaccinated, 5,800 people have still caught the virus. Reports state that some people amongst the 5,800 became seriously ill whereas 74 of them passed away, 7% of people, despite being vaccinated required immediate hospitalization.
CDC has revealed that around 77 million people around the United States have been vaccinated. Such breakthroughs were expected and teams are researching this breakthrough by taking samples from people who caught the virus after being vaccinated. The researchers are taking into consideration the gender, age, location, and type of vaccine used. CDC claims that vaccines are not 100% effective in preventing the virus. After millions of people are vaccinated, these breakthroughs will increase.
A report states that people of all eligible ages were coming back with the virus despite being vaccinated. 40% of those were of 60 to 65 years of age out of which, 65% were female.
The virus is still in the air and we are all prone to it. The vaccine just prevents serious health issues from occurring. The number of people vaccinated around the globe is very high, thus, Breakthroughs like this can happen and people who are already vaccinated should keep taking precautions. They should avoid visiting public places which people are visiting often, Such as parks and beaches. People should avoid touching stair rails, Wash their hands frequently, avoid gatherings, and wear masks even though they have received a shot or two of the vaccination. There is a dependence on the number of viruses circulating within a community to determine the chance of infection, People will eventually build immunity against the virus when a majority of the population within the community is vaccinated, If someone tests positive for Covid-19, It will be much harder for them to spread the virus as everyone else would be vaccinated, Thus, if less and fewer people become prone to the virus, there will be fewer breakouts, and that will be the point when we can call it a win against this treacherous virus.
Even though in recent months, Since the vaccines have rolled out, Numbers are still seemingly growing, but fewer and fewer mortalities are taking place as vaccines prevent the virus from causing serious health problems which eventually lead to the carrier’s death. This is how vaccines will allow people to become immune against the virus and eventually, develop such an immunity where the virus will only be taken lightly as a common cold or flu.
