The $1000 Rule? What it’s all about: Many successful entrepreneurs have and continue to use the $1000 Rule as a guideline for their business. For those unfamiliar, it states that in order to be successful, you must not only make a lot of money but that you must do it in a very short amount of time. In essence, these entrepreneurs live by this rule!
I can think of many examples where this has been true for them. Let’s take Michael Jordan, for instance. He may have the best skills and the highest vertical jump in the world, but he was able to make those moves because he had enough confidence in himself. He knew that he could do it. He didn’t try to over-exert himself, he kept his motivation up, and that’s what got him the most success.
There are many more examples. But I want to give you one more example. A couple of years ago I was an interviewee for a job. One of them came in with the $1000 Rule. This individual said that he knew that he couldn’t succeed right away, but that if he just worked hard, he’d soon achieve his goal.
I asked him how he came to reach that goal. He said that when he was a teenager, he had his first job as a fry cook at McDonald’s. He was working long hours and earning less than he desired. He ended up working his way up and eventually becoming a manager at McDonald’s. That experience turned him into someone who would never forget the hardships he went through in order to succeed in life.
If you look back at your childhood and early years, you’ll see that many of the people you admired most in life did the same thing. They worked hard and they were dedicated. They didn’t waste their time or their money and they certainly didn’t expect to become rich or wealthy overnight. These same characteristics should be highly valued by an entrepreneur.
So, what about you? Do you have a big goal that you want to achieve? How do you plan on going about attaining it? Have you had any major successes in the past? What about your dreams and aspirations for the future? Do you think you can make money doing what you love to do?
Most people will tell you that they have no limits! They say things like, “I can make as much money as I want!” And they say these words with excitement, enthusiasm, and vigor. When you’re trying to make more money and build a successful business, you have to be more excited and enthusiastic about what you are doing than someone who’s just starting out!
Look at it this way: Do you like roller coasters? If you don’t, you shouldn’t be thinking about buying one. Would you go onboard a roller coaster that was just being introduced to the world or one that is 30 years old? Of course not!
The same rule applies to building your home business. You will have some failures, yes. But you should always look at what you are doing to make money. You should never look at failure as a setback. View it as an opportunity to learn, become better, add more skills, learn something you didn’t know, and earn a thousand dollars!
You can build your home business on many levels. You can make money by helping other people find their dream jobs. You can use marketing skills to help your clients to advertise their businesses. You can offer consulting services. You can even offer to design websites, get traffic to them, sell products and services, make list-building programs, and run email marketing campaigns.
And the best thing about making money on the Internet is that once you build a successful business, you can make it grow! It’s like running a huge business, but instead of earning just a few thousand dollars per month, you can make it grow and earn millions. It all depends on how good you are at running the business. You can add more employees and get more customers. You can increase product prices and get more sales!
So, if you think you can’t afford to make a thousand dollars per month, think again. There is no limit to what you can do with the Internet! Use your time wisely and you can build a very nice, very lucrative Internet business. Just make sure you take action every single day and don’t give up! When you start seeing success, it’s not because of luck. It’s because you took action, you worked hard, and you made it happen!
